BALTIMORE— Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) and partner Payne Memorial AME Church will host an "Employment Opportunity Day" career fair, Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on the BCCC Liberty campus, 2901 Liberty Heights Avenue in Baltimore. The event is open to students and the general public and will take place in the Mini Conference Center of the Fine Arts Building.
As part of the morning kick-off, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., the college will put on two employment-related workshops: “How to Find and Keep a Job” and “Resumé Writing.”
The event promises to be a key opportunity for city residents to meet area employers in the hospitality sector, health care, retail establishments, the Baltimore City and Maryland State governments, and the federal government.
Confirmation had been received from the Hilton Baltimore Hotel, Marriott Hotels Corp., the Mayor's Office of Employment Development, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs, the Social Security Administration, and Target.
