I got into trouble a few years ago when I said in a column that I was tired of white folks. I was accused of being a racist and unfavorably compared to more acceptable black commentators. I believe it was Mao Zhe Tung who said, “It is a good thing to be attacked by the enemy because it means that you are doing something.”
