March is National Reading Month!

Anne Arundel County, MD. In today’s world, there is a growing need for higher education. Despite growing educational needs in society, some people will not have access to proper education. Some may believe the ability to read is expected of everyone, but some people cannot learn how to due to a lack of education. Some community adults are left without functional literacy.
To combat this, the Anne Arundel County Literacy Council supplies adults wanting to increase their literacy with trained volunteer tutors. Tutoring is individualized to work at the pace of each student, allowing learning to be flexible and encouraging for students.
Want to volunteer as a tutor? Fill out a contact form on the website https://icanread.org or email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 410-269-4419 to express interest and learn about the required training.
