The 6th annual Cherry Hill Arts and Music Waterfront Festival, hosted by The Youth Resiliency Institute and Cherry Hill Coalition, is set to commence July 4, 2022 at South Baltimore’s Middle Branch Park. This year’s Waterfront Festival is the first since the 2020 COVID pandemic.

Understandably, the COVID pandemic postponed enjoying the Cherry Hill Arts and Music Festival in-person July 2020. However, the celebration continued virtually. With relaxed mask mandates, the festival will resume in-person this year, as announced by the events founders.

The Cherry Hill Arts and Music Waterfront Festival was founded by activist and playwright, Shirley Foulkes, and cultural arts organizer, Fanon Hill. This year will be six years of celebration. This year’s celebratory festival will overlook the Patapsco River with a multitude of events to last through the entire evening. The event is free and open to the public.

Mama Shirley and Fanon Hill took the podium to announce the return of the Cherry Hill Arts and
Music Festival.

The fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. before the conclusion of the festival. The fireworks will happen simultaneously with the fireworks in the Inner Harbor. Festival goers are encouraged to grab a seat early, bring a blanket, and lawn chairs. There will be live musical performances from Lil Key, TT the Artist, The Legendary Ingramettes, Navasha Daya, and many more local artists.
