Dover, Del. (Mar. 30, 202) — Delaware State tennis player Baluck Deang (fr.; Madison, Wisc.) has been honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) for her play last week.
Deang has been selected as the MEAC Rookie of the Week after posting a perfect 4-0 record last week, winning both singles and doubles matches. Against Mount St. Mary’s, she won 7-5, 6-4 over Ryan McCarthy at No. 5, while also picking up a 7-6 win in doubles. Against Wilmington, Deang won 6-3, 6-4 over Larize Nel and 7-6 (7-4) in No. 3 doubles.
For the season, Deang is 6-3 in singles play, including 6-2 at No.5; and 6-2 in doubles matches.
