Camp Will Be Fifth for Coach Batchelor
PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland – Working to develop the next round of future student-athletes, the Maryland Eastern Shore Women’s Basketball program will be holding the fifth Hawk Basketball Academy at the Hytche Athletic Center from July 26 to 29.

The camp will be open for players from first grade to seniors in high school and for all levels, promoting not just the skills but also the love of the game. Registration is open until July 22.
“After two years away from the last Lady Hawk Nation Basketball Academy we are excited to offer this great basketball and life skills learning experience to the campus & local community,” Hawks head coach Fred Batchelor said. “It will be a tremendous experience for all. See you July 26th.”
Assisting coach Batchelor will be Hawks assistant coach Casey Monroe-Gaskins, a local legend, and Shore alum, alongside ten current student-athletes with appearances by former Hawk players.
During the sessions, which run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Batchelor will teach the importance of team play, and being mentally and physically aware on the court all while working on skill aspects of the game such as passing and defense. There will also be classroom sessions and 3-on-3 live-action opportunities for those that attend.
To register for the Hawks Basketball Academy head to www.easternshorecamps.com at the cost of $100 per camper, $75 to Maryland Eastern Shore employees and staff. To keep camp costs down, lunch will not be provided but packing a lunch is encouraged or campers are offered the opportunity to buy one.
