LANDOVER, Md. – Joshua Carter and Movado Gray of the Bowie State men’s indoor track and field team paced the Bulldogs with a podium performance at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Catholic University Saturday afternoon at the PG Sports & Learning Complex.

Both Carter and Gray finished runner-up in the pole vault and shot put for the first time this season.
Notable Highlights
SPRINTS
Ø London Diggs recorded a fourth-place finish in the 400m dash at 52.35 while Jordan James finished with a time of 54.01 for eighth overall.
Ø Kareem Kelsick tabbed fourth in the 200m dash at 23.76 while Marcus Holloway earned a top-15 performance with a time of 24.55 (15th place).
DISTANCE
Ø Caleb Rose earned fifth place individually in the 800m race (2:07.99.)
Ø Both Eric Thomas-Talley and Shane Massey came in 12th and 13th place in the one-mile run with times of 4:48.52 and 4:51.74, respectively.
JUMPS
Ø Corey Anderson landed in the sand put for a mark of 6.06m (6th) in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump (12.95m).
Ø Joshua Carter made the podium in the pole vault, finishing second (3.95m).
THROWS
Ø Movado Gray threw an impressive 13.57m in the shot put (2nd) while Ahmad Johnson tacked on a throwing mark of 12.55m (4th).
What’s Next
Bowie State will gear up for the Winter Classic hosted by Virginia Military Institute (VMI) on Jan. 27-28.
