Junior Throws 8 K’s in Nation Leading Fifth Complete Game

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland – It was another week of greatness for the pride of Seaford, Delaware as Noah Covington pitched his nation-leading fifth complete game of the season against Coppin State and was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

The junior took home the victory on Friday (April 15) in a 3-1 game where he threw a career-high eight strikeouts while walking none and scattering just four hits over the game. Covington started off the game with three straight K’s and had just one inning with more than a single batter on – he now sits at 5-3 on the season with a 3.29 ERA, striking out 33 while only allowing 8 walks over 52 innings pitched.
The Hawks return to action on Wednesday (April 20) to play the Delaware Blue Hens in Newark.
