HORNETS 3RD IN SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Conroe, Tex. (Apr. 20, 2022) —Delaware State’s first appearance in the Southland Conference Women’s Golf Championship Tournament has yielded a top-three finish.

The Hornets ranked third in the final standings of the six-team tournament with a three-round score of 944, trailing only first-place Augusta (902) and Incarnate Word (922), each a top 60 program in the most recent national collegiate rankings.
Delaware State tied with Incarnate Word for the second-best team score in today’s final round at 306 to climb ahead of Texas A&M Corpus Christi (4th) and Houston Baptist (5th) in the overall standings. The Hornets were tied with Texas A&M Corpus Christi for fourth place entering the final round.
TAMCC & Houston Baptist are ranked in the top 150 nationwide.
Delaware State is also celebrating two All-Southland Conference Tournament honorees.
Anna Ferreyra-Heit and Nattavadee Khunsri were tied for fourth in the final individual standings to earn all-conference recognition.
Ferreyra-Heit posted a final round score of 73 (+1), third among all competitors today, to finish the tournament at 227 (+11).
Khunsri also ended the tournament at 227 after a third-round score of 74, the fourth-best for the day.
