Cincinnati Named MEAC Rookie of the Week for Second Time(College Baseball)

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland – Being named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week just once wasn’t enough for the young Kyle Cincinnati, as he was announced the top newcomer for the second time on Monday (May 2) – taking the award in back-to-back weeks.

Freshman Outstanding at the Dish on Offense and Defense

The freshman from Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania was able to get it done both offensively and defensively for the Hawks this past weekend against Coppin State. Calling three games from behind the dish, Cincinnati threw out two would-be base stealers while keeping the pitching staff in check.

At the plate, Cincinnati had a hit in all three games started, including a career-high three hits with two doubles in the Friday affair against the Eagles. For the weekend he batted .455 and boosted his average from .193 to .235, becoming more comfortable with Division 1 pitching.

The Hawks are back in action on Wednesday (May 4) as they host the Delaware Fighting Blue Hens.
