TREY GROSS EARNS WASHINGTON COMMANDERS MINI-CAMP INVITE

Dover, Del. (May 4, 2022) — The NFL’s Washington Commanders have seen enough of former Delaware State wide receiver  Trey Gross to invite him to their upcoming mini-camp. The Annapolis, Md., native competed in the 2022 HBCU Legacy Bowl and participated in the HBCU combine since completing his stellar career with the Hornets last November. 

 

TREY GROSS EARNS WASHINGTON COMMANDERS MINI-CAMP INVITE

Gross earned All-MEAC First Team honors and BOXTOROW HBCU All-America recognition this past season. 

He led the MEAC with 13 touchdowns and 78 points during the ’21 season, highlighted by a league-best four TD performance in the Hornets’ season finale at NC Central on Nov. 20. He was third in the MEAC in receptions at 4.3 per game (47 total) and fifth in receiving yards at 56.3 per game (619 total) this past season. 

Gross completed his DSU career as No. 3 in team history with 29 receiving touchdowns, No. 5 in receptions with 146 and No. 6 in receiving yards with 2,120.
