Junior Named Top Designated Hitter in Large School Division
PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland – Finishing the season as the most consistent hitter in the Maryland Eastern Shore lineup, Ryan Howe turned some heads and was named to the Black College Nines’ Elite Team at designated hitter in the large school division.

Howe led the team in most hitting categories, including an average of a .297, 55 hits, 40 RBIs, and five home runs while splitting time between catcher and designated hitter. The junior played in all but one of the Hawks’ games this season, missing just the first contest against Longwood.
In the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, Howe was second in RBIs, fifth in home runs, and fourth in hits.
The last Hawk to earn the postseason honor was reliever Devin Repine in 2016 on the second team.
