Baltimore, MD — St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore’s Veteran Housing Services (VHS) Team is bringing the community together for a special Friendsgiving-style celebration honoring Baltimore-area veterans and the resilience, progress, and service they represent.
The event, “Giving Thanks to Our Vets,” will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Zeta Center, 4501 Reisterstown Road. This year’s gathering will recognize current program participants and celebrate those who have successfully completed the organization’s Veteran Housing programs within the past year.
A highlight of the afternoon will be remarks from guest speaker Dr. Haki Ammi, a respected community leader known for his work in veteran advocacy, mentorship, and holistic empowerment. His words are expected to uplift attendees and underscore the importance of community support for those who have served.
Guests will enjoy a catered meal by Smoke Datt Barbecue, along with opportunities for fellowship, storytelling, and connecting with resource providers. The event is open to:
- Veterans enrolled in St. Vincent de Paul’s programs
- Veterans throughout the Baltimore community
- Community members and partners interested in learning more about Veteran Housing Services

In addition to the celebration, St. Vincent de Paul is inviting organizations to participate as resource partners. Community agencies, nonprofits, and service providers are welcome to host tables to share information about housing, employment, health, benefits access, and other veteran-focused supports.
“Giving Thanks to Our Vets” reflects St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore’s continued commitment to stable housing, wraparound services, and long-term success for the men and women who have served the nation.
