Thanks to a $50,000 grant from Amerigroup Maryland, the Franciscan Center of Baltimore has extended its services for its Dignity Plates Culinary Academy.

The program provides unemployed, substance-recovering, ex-offender and other underserved Baltimore residents with professional culinary experiences and training. Four program graduates (center) took part in a recent practical session with Lori Hammond (far right) Director of Marketing, Amerigroup Maryland; Steve Corrozi (second right) program director/instructor; and Chef Steven Allbright, culinary director (far left).
