First Thursdays continue in Mount Vernon and Bromo Arts District. [Baltimore, MD] On Thursday, June 1, 2023, art galleries in the Bromo Arts District and in Mount Vernon will remain open until 8 PM with an after-party starting at 8 PM at Current Space featuring two DJs starting at 9 PM – JaySwann and DJ Brimafia.
First Thursday was a staple of the Mt Vernon art circuit for many years. Galleries participating in this evening time event include Maryland Art Place, Gallery Blue Door, The Black Genius Art Show, Cotyledon Arts, Black Artist Research Space (BARS), Nomünomü, Unit B, and Current Space. The Walters Art Museum is also open regularly until 8 PM on Thursdays.
Check each gallery’s website for current shows, events, and how to access their spaces. Galleries participating are all less than a square mile from each other and are under a twenty-minute stroll from one end to the other.
