BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State men’s cross country team hosted the Bowie State XC Classic Tuesday afternoon as the Bulldogs finished third overall with a total of 53 points at Jericho Park.

Lincoln (PA) claimed the team win with 33 points; the Lions had four top-10 finishes while Saint Augustine’s tallied 46 points led by Robert Edward, Jr. who won the men’s 7k race with a time of 23:26.50.
The Bulldog’s top finishes featured freshman Roosevelt Elivert (Dunkirk, MD) at 25:23.40 for sixth overall while junior Shane Massey (Lewes, DE) tabbed seventh at 25:55.50. Junior Frederick Eiland, II (Columbia, MD) placed ninth overall with a time of 26:32.70 to round out the Bowie State’s top-10 finishes.
Bowie State will return to action at the Roanoke XC Invitational in Salem, Va. on Oct. 14 at 2 p.m.
