BALTIMORE – In celebration of Black History Month, the Turner Station History Center will present “A Theatrical Trifecta” – HISTORY, HEALING & HARMONY on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. The production will take place at the Sollers Point Multi-Purpose Center, 323 Sollers Point Road in Dundalk.

“A Theatrical Trifecta” is being presented by the Turner Station History Center, an organization that preserves the heritage of Turner Station, one of Baltimore County’s largest historic African-American communities.
Scenes from three award-winning Gospel stage plays written by Playwright Ursula V. Battle – works that exemplify the power of faith, forgiveness, and fortitude will be showcased – Desperate Housewives of The Bible: The Old, The Bold & The Beautiful; The Homegoing Service For A Man Named Jesus; and Serenity House: From Addiction to Deliverance.

The event will also feature the resounding, soul-stirring harmonies of the Unified Voices of Johns Hopkins Choir, under the direction of its co-founder and distinguished director Dr. Gregory Wm. Branch. Renowned performer Howard “Buddy” Lakins is the show’s musician.
National recording artist Randy Roberts, soloist Charisse Caldwell-Bowen, minister and actress Letricia Loftin, actress Tanya Brown-Iyesi, and Leonard Stepney, Jr. are also among the performers.

The Black History presentation is written by Battle who is a native of Baltimore and a playwright, journalist, and Baltimore Times Staff Writer. A member of Delta Signa Theta Sorority, Inc. her works also include The Teachers’ Lounge; DisChord in The Choir: Pitch Please!; and FOR BETTER OR WOR$E. Theatrical Director Branch is a native of New York, whose directing credits include Steel Magnolias, Dischord in The Choir: Pitch Please!, FOR BETTER OR WOR$E, The Teachers’ Lounge, and The Wiz.
The Black History Month event is a fundraiser for the Turner Station History Center, which serves as a repository for artifacts, photos and stories from the community.
