April 25th Fight Night at Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor Signals New Era for Combat Sports in the City

BALTIMORE, MD — In a major step toward reactivating Baltimore’s live sports and entertainment ecosystem, the Baltimore Hotel Corporation, in partnership with the City of Baltimore and the Maryland State Athletic Commission, today announced the return of professional boxing to downtown with a marquee fight night on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor.

Timed with Autism Awareness Month, the event pairs high-level competition with meaningful community impact while advancing a broader strategy to position the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor as a premier regional hub for combat sports and major live events.

The April 25 card, promoted by Jeter Promotions, reflects growing alignment among public, hospitality, and state partners to drive visitor activity, hotel occupancy, and national visibility for Baltimore’s downtown core.

Kevin Seawright, spokesperson for the Baltimore Hotel Corporation, underscored the strategic importance of the initiative.

“Bringing professional boxing back to downtown Baltimore is a deliberate step in our broader effort to reactivate the city’s hospitality and events economy,” Seawright said. “As a subsidiary of the Baltimore Development Corporation, the Baltimore Hotel Corporation is focused on leveraging world-class venues like the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor to attract high-impact events that drive visitation, support local businesses, and showcase Baltimore’s momentum.”

The fight night will feature Maryland’s own Deric “Scooter” Davis, promoted by Top Rank, whose local following is expected to energize the hometown crowd, alongside Tyler Langer, widely known as the “John Wayne Autism Dad,” whose participation underscores the event’s connection to autism awareness and advocacy efforts.

Johnston “Jay” Brown, Executive Director of the Maryland State Athletic Commission, emphasized the state’s enthusiasm.

“The Maryland State Athletic Commission is excited to support this show and the continued growth of boxing in Baltimore,” said Brown. “Events like this strengthen Maryland’s combat sports landscape while ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism.”

Christen Jeter, founder and owner of Jeter Promotions, highlighted the importance of the partnership.

“Jeter Promotions is proud to produce quality, professional boxing events that showcase rising talent and celebrate the sport at its best,” Jeter said. “We are proud to work alongside the Baltimore Hotel Corporation, the City, and the State to help bring high-quality boxing back to Baltimore fight fans.”

Jeter Promotions is led by Christen Jeter, who has owned and operated a fitness center and boxing program for 18 years and continues to expand the company’s footprint through professional fight promotions and athlete development.

The April 25 event is expected to draw regional fight fans, generate economic activity for downtown businesses, and reinforce Baltimore’s position as a competitive mid-Atlantic destination for live sporting events while also elevating awareness around autism and family advocacy.

Additional fight card details, ticket information, and media credentials will be announced in the coming weeks.
