POLOxJAZZ Marks 10 Years of Luxury and Community Impact in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — A signature event blending elegance, entertainment, and purpose is set to return this spring as POLOxJAZZ celebrates its 10th anniversary in Baltimore. Presented by Grandiosity Events in partnership with The Law Offices of Duane O. King, PC, the milestone event will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Baltimore Peninsula.

Over the past decade, POLOxJAZZ has grown into one of the region’s premier luxury charity experiences, bringing together leaders in business, entertainment, sports, and community advocacy for a day centered on culture and giving. This year’s celebration will be hosted by acclaimed actor Clifton Powell, adding star power to an already highly anticipated experience.

Founded by Susan Smallwood, CEO of Grandiosity Events, POLOxJAZZ was created to merge high-end experiences with meaningful impact. Smallwood, who also founded La Grande Caviar, has built the event into a platform that highlights Black excellence across industries—from equestrian sports to music and entrepreneurship—while maintaining a strong philanthropic mission.

“This 10th anniversary represents more than an event. It represents ten years of community commitment, partnership, and impact,” Smallwood said.

Attendees can expect a full day of curated experiences, including professional polo matches, live jazz performances, luxury food and beverage offerings, and exclusive networking opportunities. The event also features vendor activations and appearances by influential figures, including nationally recognized polo players and media personalities.

Beyond the luxury and entertainment, POLOxJAZZ continues its commitment to community impact by supporting two key educational initiatives. Proceeds will benefit the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. East Coast Chapter, which preserves the legacy of pioneering African American military aviators while inspiring youth through education and aviation pathways. The event will also support the Alpha Phi Alpha Brigadier General Charles McGee Youth STEM Scholarship, providing financial assistance to underrepresented students pursuing STEM degrees at historically Black colleges and universities.

Set against the scenic waterfront of Baltimore Peninsula, the event runs from noon to 9 p.m., beginning with red carpet arrivals and culminating in an evening after-party. Highlights include a national anthem performance, an afternoon polo match, and a trophy presentation recognizing excellence on and off the field.

As POLOxJAZZ enters its second decade, organizers say the focus remains clear: creating unforgettable experiences while investing in the next generation. For Baltimore, the event continues to serve as a powerful reminder that culture, community, and philanthropy can coexist—and thrive—on one stage.
