US Home & Auto Insurance Group Secures $10,000 Donation for National Aging in Place Council Through Make More Happen™ Award

Community support helps unlock full funding to expand programs for seniors and caregivers across Greater Baltimore

US Home & Auto Insurance Group has earned a 2026 Make More Happen™ Award from Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance and successfully unlocked the full $10,000 donation for the National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC) Greater Baltimore Chapter through strong community support.

Initially, US Home & Auto Insurance Group received a $5,000 donation through the Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® 2026 Make More Happen™ Award program. After their story was featured on the Make More Happen microsite, www.agentgiving.com/us-home-and-auto-insurance-group, supporters rallied behind the campaign – surpassing 750 combined votes and comments – triggering a matching donation and bringing the total to $10,000.

The funding will help NAIPC Greater Baltimore expand its programs beyond the 19 senior centers and four libraries it currently serves, while increasing outreach to homebound older adults and caregivers – ensuring more individuals have access to critical education and resources.

US Home & Auto Insurance Group partnered with NAIPC Greater Baltimore to support its mission of helping older adults safely and successfully age in place. Agency principal Patrick Geoghan was introduced to the organization through his wife, Mary Lynch, the chapter’s chair, and quickly recognized the need for accessible insurance education around in-home care, home modifications, and financial protection.

“NAIPC offers a trusted platform to educate and protect vulnerable populations,” said Geoghan. “We’re proud to support their work and help provide practical resources that allow seniors to maintain independence and give families peace of mind.”

The agency supports NAIPC through volunteer efforts, educational programming, and participation in events like the annual Power of Age Expo, one of the largest aging-focused events on the East Coast.

Throughout 2026, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen™ Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible by submitting applications that highlight their commitment to a specific cause.
