Aleta Greene, a dynamite entertainer, my dear friend and one of my favorite singers who I worked with in the early 90s for many years died on November 7, 2024, at age 69. Her funeral was on November 25, 2024, at Vaughn Green in Randallstown, Maryland. May her soul rest in peace.

Hello everyone,

I am doing much better. Thank you for asking, but I still have a long way to go, according to my doctors. I guess when you get screws and bolts put into your spine, it takes more than ten days to heal. I plan on testing the waters soon starting this week, so look for me.

Baltimore’s renowned song stylist Aleta Green has passed away. For decades, Aleta Greene was a “household name” widely known on the Baltimore music scene. Her powerful, sulky voice graced many venues and stages singing old rock, R&B, Blues, and Jazz in clubs such as The Brass Elephant, summer concert series at the Sculpture Garden of the Baltimore Museum of Art, as well as being a regular at Artscape. Aleta was also a great songwriter. I had the pleasure of booking her into a few clubs myself. I was never disappointed, and she always packed the house. Aleta passed away on November 7 at age 69. Her funeral was on November 25 at Vaughn Green in Randallstown, Maryland. She will always be remembered by her many fans. May she rest in peace.
