BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State Bulldogs (6-3, 5-2 CIAA) will travel to Ettrick, Va., on Saturday, Apr. 9 against the Virginia State Trojans in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Northern Division contest. The first serve is slated for 12 noon as the match will begin with a round of doubles, followed by a round of singles.

The Bulldogs are coming off a sweep over Elizabeth City State last weekend. Virginia State is 3-1 overall and in the CIAA. The Trojans are coming off a 4-0 setback to Johnson C. Smith on Mar. 30.
Bowie State has lost its last 24 matches against the Trojans dating back to the 2009 season. The last meeting between the two teams occurred on Apr. 4, 2019, as the Bulldogs fell 6-1 to VSU on the road.
Currently, the Bulldogs are in first place in the Northern Division with a 3-0 record while the Trojans are 2-0 in second place.
